Position: Children and Families Minister (FT)

Calvary Baptist Church in Ball Ground, GA is in search of their first Children and Families Minister. This person will be responsible for creating a team-based ministry that leads safe and loving environments where kids learn about salvation through Christ and worship God. The ministry will also build relationships with parents that equip them to teach and disciple their children.

Ball Ground is a great community located 20 minutes or less from 5-6 cities and desirable areas in which to live. Our local schools systems are some of the best in the state and we have excellent hospitals and healthcare minutes away. Our diverse community is close enough to Atlanta to enjoy city life but far enough away to also enjoy the north Georgia mountains. There is excellent shopping and dining minutes away and more and more parks and recreational areas coming to our area.

One of the key priorities for the first year for this new leader will be to connect with families and current leaders. The Children and Families Minister will be responsible for creating a team-based ministry that leads inspiring environments where kids can grow and learn. The ministry will also build relationships with parents as well as develop ministry programs that reach out to our community.

Youth and Young Adult Pastor

Job Summary:

The Youth and Young Adult Pastor will focus on fostering the spiritual life of youth and young adults. This pastor will also participate in worship, provide pastoral care support, and perform

Essential Functions:

  • Nurture and support the spiritual life of youth. 
    • Develop programming for all aspects of the youth ministry.
    • Engage youth in mission opportunities.
    • Coordinate curriculum.
    • Coordinate the Youth Ministry Team and set the youth ministry calendar.
    • Work with Nominating Committee and Sunday School Director in securing volunteer leadership in ministry to youth.
  • Develop a young adult program that resonates with individuals from college-aged to young families.
  • Prepare budget request and administer annual budget for youth and young adult


  • Serve as an ex officio member of the Deacons and any committees that directly affect

           the assigned areas of ministry.

  • Assist in planning and participate in worship services, including preaching and other

          leadership responsibilities as decided upon with the Senior Pastor.

  • Participate in visitation ministry of the church as appropriate.
  • Provide support and assistance to the Senior Pastor and work collegially with ministry and other support staff.

Associate Pastor in Youth/Music: Powhatan, Virginia (FT)

Seeking a full-time Associate Pastor in Youth/Music to serve as the primary person to develop, organize and administer the overall Youth ministry of the church. This includes coordinating leadership training for youth workers, being responsible for the teaching of Sunday School, youth meetings, family nights, promoting youth visitation and being available for counseling with youth and their parents. In the absence of a full-time Music Minister he shall oversee congregational singing, coordinate special music for services, and communicate with the musicians and sound room staff to plan services each week. In addition, he should be an ordained minister and responsible to assist the Senior Pastor with ministerial and support needs as they arise.

Position:Children’s Ministry Director (PT)

Job Summary: Hunton Baptist Church is seeking an energetic Children’s Ministry Director who will be responsible for developing and implementing ministries of discipleship, mission, fellowship and worship for children. This individual will lead and coordinate the music and adult ministries of the church. As such, the individual will be responsible for the education and Christian formation of adults.
