  • Abingdon Baptist Church (ABC), Abingdon, VA is seeking a full time Senior Pastor.  ABC was founded in 1910 and is associated with both CBF and SBC.   We have just completed the Intentional Interim Ministry Program and now a pastor search committee has been formed to seek the pastor that God has chosen for us.  We are looking for a pastor with a minimum of 4 to 7 years of association and/or pastoral experience who is flexible with both traditional and contemporary services.
  • Our congregation believes our new pastor:
    • Will be emotionally and spiritually mature with a love for Christ and a desire to see others come to know and serve Him.
    • Will be educated, preferably at an accepted Baptist theological seminary or a similar acceptable institution.

Churches Seeking Staff

Churches need strong recommendations for staff openings. CBFVA partners with Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s LeaderConnect (http://www.cbf.net/leaderconnect/) to help place vocational ministers (senior pastors, associate pastors, youth pastors, children’s pastors, and other staff ministers) in Virginia churches. Search committees are encouraged to contact CBF to communicate staff needs and to solicit resumes of potential candidates.
