Call Resources
Called Together: Resources for Your Journey with CBFVA
The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Virginia (CBFVA) is committed to helping churches and individuals recognize that “calling” is not reserved for biblical figures alone—it is a daily invitation for every believer.
We offer practical, ready-to-use tools to help congregations integrate the theme of calling into their communal life:
- Adult Bible Study: A 4-week series titled “A Life of Calling,” exploring divine identity, practical availability, and the necessity of staying connected to the Vine.
- Youth Bible Study: Engagement sessions such as “Left on Read,” which help students discover their unique spiritual gifts and personality types.
- Worship & Liturgy: Complete chapel service outlines, responsive prayers, and litanies of calling to enrich your Sunday morning experience.
Guidance for Individual Discernment
For those feeling a nudge toward service but unsure of the next step, our discernment tools provide a practical roadmap:
- Discernment Guide: A five-step framework to help you navigate “What’s Next?” by inventorying “holy discontents” and seeking communal confirmation.
- Interactive Worksheets: Practical tools like the “Here Am I Journey” checklist to track how the Spirit is moving in your heart.
Personal Stories: Access our “Voices of the Called” interview series to hear how others across our fellowship have experienced God’s sudden redirections or quiet whispers.
All our resources are anchored in the foundational truth that every call is a divine invitation. These materials serve as a guide to the transformative moments where faith meets divine instruction.

Stories matter. Hearing another person’s story is a great way to begin our conversation about calling. CBFVA produced these videos to be conversation starters for churches to use in worship, at youth gatherings, or in bible studies.
