Coordinator
Mark Snipes
Mark Snipes was born and raised in the small town of Rockmart, Georgia in the North Georgia mountains. A graduate of the McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia, Mark worked in local church ministry for seven years before becoming Missions Coordinator for Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Virginia in October 2013. In October of 2022, Mark transitioned to the role of Coordinator! This new role encompasses communication, connecting congregations, ministering to ministers, and a whole host of other important tasks.

Associate Coordinator
Laura Davis is a native of Sperryville, Virginia and has spent most of her adult life between North Carolina and Virginia. She completed her Master of Divinity Degree at Campbell University Divinity School and is currently working towards her Doctor of Ministry degree there as well. Laura has worked with missions as a volunteer in churches and associations, as well as vocationally, most recently serving with Woman’s Missionary Union of Virginia. Her primary role focuses on the three pillars of advocacy, education, and partnership through CBFVA events. She looks forward to spending time with CBFVA congregations and supporting laity and clergy in living out God’s kingdom work.

Heidi Ruiz
Born and raised in Virginia, Heidi Ruiz has a connection to the state that enhances her commitment to serving its diverse communities. Heidi’s journey, shaped and enriched by experiences in diverse professional settings and church ministry, uniquely positions her to manage a broad range of tasks in her shared role with CBF Virginia and CBF Global. Heidi’s passion for her work is driven by her commitment to helping churches, organizations, and individuals thrive as they live out their calling in their unique contexts.

Communications
Ben Brown
Ben Brown is a native of Richmond, Virginia. He has two degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University: a Bachelors in Broadcast Journalism and a Masters in Patient Counseling.
Ben earned his Master of Divinity from the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond (BTSR) and graduated from Union Presbyterian Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry in 2023. Ben has served as a Chaplain Intern at VCU Health System earning 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and was ordained into Gospel Ministry at Derbyshire Baptist Church in 2014.
