Over the past two years, CBFVA has experienced a season of significant change and transition, largely due to staffing shifts and the ongoing changes in the world around us. These shifts have not only required us to be adaptable and resilient but also provided an opportunity to pause, reflect, and recalibrate. In many ways, the challenges we faced allowed us to reimagine how we can best fulfill our mission. During this period, our staff and Coordinating Council have committed themselves to a deep process of discernment, prayer, and dialogue to seek clarity on what the future of our organization should look like.
Throughout this transition, we have spent countless hours assessing our strengths, identifying areas where we can improve, and envisioning the next steps for CBFVA. We’ve engaged in thoughtful conversations, both internally and externally, with leaders and partners who share our passion for the work we do. This has been a time of reflection and renewal, as we sought to better understand the evolving needs of the communities and congregations we serve, as well as the unique role we are called to play in meeting those needs.
We now emerge from this season of transition with our team firmly in place. We have worked diligently to ensure that the right people are in the right roles, and we have built a strong foundation from which to move forward. In addition, we are filled with a renewed sense of clarity and vision around our three core pillars—Partnerships, Theological Education, and Advocacy. With these guiding principles in place, we are poised and ready to take the next steps in a more focused, intentional, and unified direction.
This year, our plan is not just to continue the work we’ve been doing but to go deeper, moving forward with conviction and purpose. This is a new season, one of intentional growth, both in our organizational capacity and in our collective impact. We are eager to deepen our relationships with congregations and partners, expand our outreach and influence, and strengthen the very core of our organization.
Our mission remains steadfast, but our approach will be bolder and more focused. With a clearer understanding of where we are headed, we will deepen our engagement and more fully embrace the opportunities that God is placing before us. We are committed to deepening the quality of our programs and services, while also exploring new ways to address emerging needs.
Over the next few months, we will share specific ways we are moving deeper!
We invite you to join us on this journey. Will you join us by praying for this work, helping to fund it, and rolling up your sleeves? Together, we will work to fulfill the vision God has set before us, and we are confident that the best is yet to come.
