Pastors’ School

On Tuesday, February 10th, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Virginia (CBFVA) will host our annual Pastors’ School, a day dedicated to inspiration, learning, and connection among ministry leaders across the Commonwealth.

This year, we are excited to offer the event in two locations — Roanoke and Richmond — to make participation more accessible for pastors and church leaders throughout Virginia.

During Pastors School, experienced pastors will share their “big picture” approach to sermon preparation, reflecting on questions such as:

  • What does preaching teach me personally and spiritually?
  • How do I approach weekly sermon preparation?
  • What resources and practices shape my preaching ministry?

Each site will feature two presenters who will offer practical insight and personal reflection. In addition to these presentations, participants will have dedicated time for small group dialogue, offering space to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another in meaningful conversation.

We look forward to this time of renewal, collaboration, and encouragement as we gather to strengthen our shared calling with faithfulness and creativity.

This event is free and will run from 9:30-1 pm with lunch provided.
