Theme: Cultivating Hopeful Imagination
Leaders: Mike Queen & Jayne Davis
***In person AND online***
The world has experienced more change in the last two years than most of us can remember happening in our lifetimes. Many of our leaders are emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic more exhausted than they have ever been. When hope and creative imagination are most needed, leaders are dispirited and worn out.
Cultivating Hopeful Imagination gives pastors an opportunity to gather for encouragement and inspiration; to harness the power of stories to remind us of God’s presence in the world and in our churches; and, together, to listen for God’s Spirit. This experience is CBFVA’s gift to clergy across the Commonwealth.
We are excited to welcome Mike Queen and Jayne Davis as our leaders. Authors of Hopeful Imagination, they will help clergy dream about how the future church might look. You won’t be offered a prescriptive plan for the journey, but you will be energized by the presentations and interactions with your colleagues.
Plan now to join us for Pastors’ School on Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 10:00 am-3:00 pm at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond. For those who can’t travel to Richmond, please join us via Zoom.
